What you need to do check list:

  • We encourage becoming a member of NAVHDA international.  If you are not currently a member but would like to join, sign up HERE!
  • Ensure your dog is registered with NAVHDA, if so, you should have a beige certificate with the owner listed in your name and skip to the next step.
    1. If your dog has not been registered with NAVHDA, register HERE!  If registration is under way, please write in "Pending" for the dogs NAVHDA registration number on the application and send it in.  When you have the number please forward the information to the test secretary.
    2. If your NAVHDA registration is a breeders registration certificate, register the dog in your name HERE! for transfer of ownership.
  • Fill out a test entry registration HERE!, including the dogs NAVHDA registration number (see above) as well as your NAVHDA member number if you are member (You can find this on the 1st line before the date of the mailing label of your monthly issue of the Versatile Hunting Dog).
  • Send your test entry and applicable test fee to the test secretary.  If you send an incomplete entry form or do not send in the test fee with the entry form, your test registration WILL LIKELY GET BUMPED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST DUE TO LIMITED AVAILABILITY OF TEST SLOTS.  Please help us help you.  There is a very high demand for tests.
  • Membership dues for our chapter is ($20) annually if you wish to join.  Dues should be sent to the treasurer.  Membership is the difference between member and non-member test entry fees; you are welcome to join the chapter at the time of test entry by filling out a membership application and adding your $20 membership dues with the test entry application and test fee.

Anyone wanting more information or to be placed on the waiting list can contact the test secretary.  Due to such high demand for tests, we must have a complete entry form and full payment to hold a wait list spot.

As we have a need to limit our entries to allow fair participation and keep within the spirit of NAVHDA, we will be following our chapter by-laws allowing only 3 dogs per handler*.

*This rule will be lifted 3 weeks prior to our test date and those wishing to run more than 3 dogs can be put on a first come basis wait list if test slots are available.  Please contact the test secretary if you have any questions or concerns regarding the test.

 Test fees are as follows:
